This is another of Mr. Ben Wood's installations, which was shown to the public at the West Bank Art Center in Shanghai, and now you can also see part of the exhibit in the showroom at Shanghai Xintiandi. The designer used discarded electronic parts as well as the traditional artifacts and light and smoke components to create an abstract miniature of a piece of the modern city. You can see modern cities, roads and harbors, as well as mountains, rivers and ideal vacation areas in the model, which fully demonstrates the designer's rich imagination and creativity. With the lighting and smoke, you can feel the damage of real pollution to the environment and even the fear behind the pollution. Next to the art installation you can see a model of an elephant, which symbolizes the traditional proverb "elephant in the house".
He symbolizes the traditional proverb "the elephant in the house", suggesting that pollution in modern cities is destroying people's lives, and that everyone sees its existence, but ignores it and does not discuss it. This provokes deep thoughts about the environment, the city and life, and how to deal with the relationship between them.
